My journey began in Yemen, where I was born while my father served with the Royal Air Force during the Aden Conflict. Following in his footsteps, I joined the RAF myself, serving as an Assistant Air Traffic Controller and was among the first group of women to be armed in service. Over the years, I’ve lived and worked across the globe—from the Middle East to Europe, Southern Africa to the U.S., Australasia to South-East Asia. Along the way, I earned an Honours degree in History and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, which laid the foundation for a rewarding career in teaching and training.
